4-27-13 State Runner-Up Cubs lost a hard fought Championship Final against Sam Houston 8-0. Top Hitters for the Cubs were Alaina Gaurino who was 2 for 3, with Jessica Kingston and Carly Easley each adding 1 hit apiece. Caitlyn Betbeze recorded the loss while working a full 7 innings and recording 2 strikeouts. It was a great effort by the Cubs and an amazing season. Cub Record 24-8 District Record 8-0

4-27-13 Cubs win their fourth round game by defeating the Live Oak Lady Eagles at Fastpitch 56 by the score of 7-5. Top Hitters were Regina Baxter 2 for 3 with a Double and a HR and 2 RBIs, Simone Mayer 2 for 2 with 3 RBIs and Samantha Dares and Jessica Kingston added two hits apiece. Caitlyn Betbeze picked up her 4th Victory in the playoffs by throwing another complete game and allowing only 5 runs while recording 2 strikeouts. Another great all around effort by the Cubs! 4-26-13 Cubs win quater-final round against #1 Seed Hahnville (5-2) in Sulphur at the Fastpitch 56 Tournament. Top Hitters were Simone Mayer 1 for 3 with 2 RBIs, Samantha Dares 1 for 2 with a walk and 2 RBIs, Alaina Gaurino 2 for 3 and Myan Sandifer 3 for 3 against the Lady Tigers. Caitlyn Betbeze picked up the victory for the Cubs. She allowed only 2 runs through 7 innings while giving up only 7 hits. It was a great all around effort by the Cubs! Defensively Caitlyn Betbeze recorded 11 strikeouts and the win, while Alaina Guarino turned a key double play in the top of the seventh inning by catching a fly ball in back of third base a throwing the lead runner out to Simone Mayer at second.
