New Orleans Magazine's Top Female Achiever: Sister Camille Anne Campbell, O.Carm.

No one has to tell members of the Mount Carmel Academy community that Sister Camille Anne is a top achiever. For over 30 years, she has led the school to receive numerous awards, including the recognition of being named twice as a Top 50 Catholic High School in the country. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, she and Miss Simno quickly resurrected the flooded campus in an otherwise desolate area of the city so that the students would have some place to call home. And, most importantly, she leads teachers daily in the education of over 1,000 girls who eventually graduate as well-rounded young women with a solid understanding of the Catholic faith.
In its July issue, New Orleans Magazine honored Sister Camille Anne as a "Top Female Achiever" among other local women who are truly making a difference in the city. We are proud of you, Sister!
