RAINDROPS KEEP FALLING ON MY HEAD!
It was a chilly November day. The wind was blowing and the rain drifted in and out as the runners took their mark to begin the 37th annual Carmel Challenge Cup road race. Dogs of every shape and size also ran the race and they loved the attention as they crossed the finish line.
The atmosphere was festive and all were having fun as they ran, walked, listened to music by CD Sound and just enjoyed each other’s company. The competition was on. Who will win? What grade level had the most at the race? What grade level registered the most people? Who will be honored at Gym Day?
Family members, friends, and their beloved dogs all ran together in unity. Overall, the race was a huge success. A special thanks goes to Peake BMW for all of their generosity and support and thanks to the hard work of all the volunteers and donations by Mrs. Stacie Stanley, Deanie’s Restaurant, Mandina Restaurant, Kentwood, Zuppardo’s Grocery, The Beachcorner, the River Parish Disposal, and Cafe du Monde. We appreciate everyone coming out to support the annual Carmel Challenge Cup and we hope to see everyone again next year!
