Students in Animal Science took a field trip to Sugar Roots Farm, a nonprofit educational farm that teaches students young and old about agriculture. From sustainable farming practices, composting, and more, the students put into practice what they’ve learned all throughout the semester, from animal breeds, husbandry and care, disease prevention, and effects of agriculture on the environment. Students had hands-on experiences with all types of animals, and even got a few pets and kisses along the way!
