Mount Carmel Academy is proud to announce Ashley Lala Miller as the new Head Volleyball Coach, bringing with her a remarkable history of championship success, leadership, and deep ties to the Mount Carmel community.

Coach Ashley returns to Mount Carmel Academy as a former standout student-athlete, where she was a member of the 2010 LHSAA Division I State Championship team and was recognized as Outstanding Player of the Match during the state title run. Her firsthand experience as a champion at Mount Carmel uniquely positions her to lead the program with pride, tradition, and a clear vision for excellence.

Most recently, Coach Ashley served as Head Volleyball Coach at Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies, where she guided her team to the LHSAA Division III State Championship in 2024. Her coaching achievements earned her numerous honors, including LVCA Division III Coach of the Year, All-Metro Coach of the Year, and multiple District Coach of the Year awards from 2021–2025. Under her leadership, her teams consistently captured district championships and built a culture of competitiveness, discipline, and accountability.

Coach Ashley’s return to Mount Carmel Academy marks an exciting new chapter for the volleyball program, one rooted in tradition and driven by proven competitive leadership. The Mount Carmel community is excited to welcome her home and looks forward to continued success under her guidance.
