Eighth graders in the Dynamics of Effective Study class enjoyed a fun twist on the traditional visit to the library. To begin, each student removed a sheet of paper to reveal the book in front of them. When Mrs. Couret, MCA’s librarian, started the clock, they had 90 seconds to scan the book before “selling” it to the classmate across from them. Then, they switched, and the person across shared what their book was about. Seats rotated, ensuring a variety of literary adventures. If a student was interested in reading one of the books, it was put to the side for checkout and replaced with a new one.
