Mount Carmel students made their sixth and final trip of the school to help build homes for Habitat for Humanity on April 28. More than 200 students volunteered their Saturdays in 2018-16 to help build, paint, and landscape homes throughout the city.

The trip was made possible thanks to funding by a grant from the Brown Foundation. Mount Carmel Academy has been volunteering with the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity since 1996. Since then, MCA has contributed more than 3,000 volunteers and more than 25,000 hours of work.
