The shoes were laced and the runners were ready to go as the horn blew to begin the 40th annual Carmel Challenge Cup Road Race. There was a windy chill and a few raindrops in the air, but it was indeed perfect running weather.

Cheering crowds urged on the runners as they weaved their way along the lakefront. Family members, friends, and their beloved dogs all ran together in unity. Overall, the race was a huge success.

A special thanks go to Peake BMW for all of their generosity and support and thanks to the hard work of all the volunteers and donations by Mrs. Stacie Stanley,  Deanie’s Restaurant, Coca Cola, Zuppardo’s Grocery, The Beachcorner, CD Sound, the River Parish Disposal, and Cafe du Monde. We appreciate everyone coming out to support the annual Carmel Challenge Cup!
