Chess Club hosted a simul, an event in which a skilled player plays numerous games simultaneously against different opponents, under the gazebo on September 30. Students set themselves up at chess boards on tables arranged around the gazebo as Mr. Roussel rotated around playing them all at the same time.  Although it was a Chess Club event, all students (and teachers) were invited to join in on the fun. The club hoped to attract new members while sharing their love of the strategic game.

The final results? Mr. Roussel won all of the matches. The last three players standing — Sophia Hattier, Annabel Schaeffer, and Jordan Burse — received gift cards.
