MCA's Chorale Secures Coveted Spot at Carnegie Hall in April 2024
Following accolades and top ratings earned at a choral festival in Nashville last year, Mount Carmel Academy’s select competition choir, Chorale, has received an exclusive invitation to participate in the prestigious WorldStrides National Youth Choir in New York City. Set to grace the renowned Ronald O. Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, the choir will join forces with top choirs from across the nation under the direction of the esteemed conductor and composer Jeffrey Ames. Chorale has further garnered the honor of being chosen as the Featured Choir, affording them the exclusive opportunity to deliver a solo performance during this event with their director, Catherine Duensing.
Carnegie Hall, synonymous with an elite level of musical achievement, has a storied history that mandates the application of the highest standards for all performers who take the stage. WorldStrides, recognizing the exceptional talent of MCA's Chorale, selected them through a rigorous formal application process, extending an invitation for this extraordinary opportunity of a lifetime.
Supporters of Chorale can contribute to their journey to Carnegie Hall by making a gift.
To showcase their musical talents and raise funds for their New York City trip, Chorale will host three Christmas benefit concerts. While admission is free, all donations collected will directly contribute to Chorale's journey to Carnegie Hall.
