Ninety-two juniors and seniors are exploring our nation's capital this week on MCA's 51st Close-Up trip. The program is designed to give hands-on experiences that not only educate, but inspire and empower students to take on active roles in our democracy. They will witness the inner workings of our government, meet politicians, interact with students from across the country, and gain the knowledge and confidence needed to become informed, engaged citizens. The group will also visit museums, monuments, and government buildings.

This year's group is the largest number of MCA students to ever attend Close-Up. Mrs. Delbert, one of the chaperones, explained that "after a two-year break because of Covid, we are happy to be back!"
