Mr. Marshall’s Latin IV/V juniors and seniors created desserts inspired by buildings and landmarks in Ancient Rome. Working together in small groups, students began by researching the measurements of the original structures. They then created scale drawings to help plan and determine the ingredients needed. They were also asked to write about the construction techniques and methods used by the ancient Romans.

Projects included a Roman aqueduct, Mount Vesuvius, the Colosseum, and the Temple of Zeus at Olympia.
