Intro to Engineering students designed and constructed bridges using uncooked pasta and hot glue. They were tasked with applying the lessons learned from building paper truss bridges to their spaghetti bridge designs. After selecting a location in need of a bridge or repair, students determined the most suitable bridge type, outlined the project scope, and created cost estimates before presenting their plans to the class. Their prototypes were tested with varying weights, and the strongest bridge held over 60 pounds!
