In Engineering class, each group constructed their version of a Waddell "A" Truss Bridge, designed to be approximately 25 cm wide and 12 cm tall. Using just a standard file folder and craft glue, the students crafted bridges that could hold a minimum of 8 lbs, depending on their design. Impressively, two of the bridges supported the maximum available weight of 24 lbs. The students were thrilled to discover their bridges could hold significantly more weight than they had anticipated.
