On February 20, half of the freshman class took part in service projects, including making sandwiches for the Feed Jesus program and baking cookies for MCA’s St. Joseph’s altar. Meanwhile, the other half attended the Freshman Retreat, guided by their senior big sisters. The next day, the groups switched, allowing all students to experience both service and spiritual reflection.
The retreat offered freshmen a chance to grow closer to God and one another. Centered on the theme "You are precious and honored in my sight, and I love you." (Isaiah 43:4), the day featured letter-writing, small-group discussions and activities, Adoration, senior-led talks, prayer, and Mass. Students also enjoyed icebreaker games, gaga ball, and dancing. The retreat left a lasting impact, strengthening friendships, fostering personal growth, and deepening their faith.
