On October 5th, the National Art Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society teamed up to create a vibrant chalk mural in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The mural beautifully showcased the collaborative efforts of muralists Marguerite Hopkins, Julia Kirsch, and Aislin McKenna, with Spanish National Honor Society offering inspiration for the subject matter and National Art Honor Society bringing the design to life.
The mural was created as part of the third annual Our Heritage/Nuestra Herencia Chalk-Drawing Contest, an event organized in partnership with the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation and NOMA. The initiative fosters awareness and appreciation of Hispanic cultures among high school students.
