On their field trip to the INFINITY Science Center in Pearlington, MS, 8th graders were treated to an immersive journey through the cosmos via thrilling 3D movies about space, astronauts, and tiny creatures. The students examined exhibits showcasing the extensive history of space exploration and the remarkable achievements in engineering. They were also challenged to combine creativity and scientific principles in a hands-on activity, using motors and PVC pipes to construct frames capable of moving forward, backward, and sideways in water. This engaging activity not only highlighted the practical applications of science and engineering but encouraged problem-solving and teamwork.
