Members of MCA's student government, along with Student Activities Director Mrs. Sue Buras, attended the Louisiana Association of Student Councils summer workshop on the campus of Northwestern State University. Working with student leaders from across the state, the workshop focused on leadership and communication skills, group dynamics techniques, officer training, faculty-student relation ideas, and meeting skills. 

MCA students in attendance were Grace Williams, Bayleigh Fife, Alexis Alonso, Cici Zhang, and Sydney Kremer.
