Twenty-eight students recently visited seven colleges in five days on the MCA summer college tour. The group, accompanied by Mrs. Caruso and Mrs. Allerton, also squeezed in some fun and entertainment on their jam-packed trip.


Day 1: 

The trip began with a tour of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches and concluded with boutique bowling at Bowl and Barrel in Dallas, TX.

 



Day 2:

On the second day of the trip, students toured Southern Methodist University and visited the George W. Bush Presidential Center, where they enjoyed lunch at Cafe 43. They then toured the University of Dallas. The evening concluded with a trip to the Fort Worth stockyards and dinner at a Fort Worth staple, Joe T. Garcia’s.
 



 Day 3:

On Wednesday, the group toured Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and St. Edwards University in Austin. That evening, students had dinner at The Picnic Food Truck Park and took a bat cruise to see the bats fly out from underneath the Congress Street bridge.
 


Day 4:

On the fourth day of the trip, students toured Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. There, they learned the class cheers. Afterward, they went ice skating in the Houston Galleria Mall and had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. 
 


Day 5:

The college tour concluded with a visit to Rice University in Houston, TX followed by lunch at Potbelly Restaurant.
