During Red Ribbon Week, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office K-9 division visited Mount Carmel Academy to meet with members of MCCADD (Mount Carmel Cubs Against Destructive Decisions). Students had the opportunity to learn about the important role of detection dogs and observe their impressive skills in action.

The visit inspired MCCADD to support Anna 4 Paws, a nonprofit that provides vet-approved first-aid kits and training for working canine teams. Determined to make a difference, the students raised $1,000 and proudly donated it to the organization, helping ensure the safety and care of these essential K-9 teams.
