The entire student body came together to celebrate the annual Multicultural Mass on January 31, 2019. Throughout the week, Multicultural Club shared information about the cultures of Asia. Mass began with the Presentation of the Symbols. The globe represented the seven continents that are home to almost 7.4 billion people who speak over 6,900 languages. The Vatican flag represented our faith of yesterday and today; a painting of Our Lady of La Vang symbolized the faith of many Vietnamese Catholics; a unity banner with the many hand prints of MCA students represented our efforts to foster acceptance, unity, and respect to students of all cultures; and a multicultural banner acknowledged the many cultures and traditions of our Mount Carmel family, our city, our country and our world.
