On October 1, the Feast of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the Little Flower, the MCA community gathered for the Carmelite Saints Mass to honor our beloved Carmelite saints. Following Mass, new students and faculty were officially welcomed into the Carmel family through the Scapular Ceremony.

During this meaningful tradition, each new Cub faced her Big Sister, who held the scapular above her head and prayed: “May God, through the prayers of Mary, the Mother of God, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, bless you with gentle strength and strong love. Amen.”

The scapular represents a desire to live as a true disciple of Christ. It serves as a reminder to pray regularly, to ask for the Blessed Mother’s intercession, and to live a faith-filled life. With this sacred tradition, our newest Cubs join generations who have been blessed to walk together as members of the Carmelite family.
