Mount Carmel Academy students participated in this year’s Happy Feet Sock Drive, organized by the National English Honor Society in partnership with the Happy Feet Organization, to benefit Ozanam Inn.

Thanks to the generosity of the MCA community, the school collected 3,834 pairs of socks, the largest total in school history and the most of any participating school!

Socks are one of the most requested yet often overlooked items in homeless shelters, and these donations will help support those experiencing homelessness in New Orleans.

Thank you to Sidney Chase ’30, Angelica Anderson ’28, and the entire NEHS for organizing the drive and helping make it such a success.
