Intro to Engineering students designed and constructed bridges with uncooked pasta and hot glue. After selecting a location that would benefit from a bridge or one that is in need of repair, students decided which type of bridge would be best suited to their area. They determined the scope of work, completed a cost estimate, and presented to the class before testing their prototypes with various weights. This semester, the strongest noodle bridge held 11,000 grams (about 24 pounds).
