Kerri Caruso, College Scholarship Coordinator, was selected for the inaugural SACAC (Southern Association for College Admission Counseling) Leads program. The program will be held virtually from January through May 2021.

Mrs. Caruso been working with students on their journey to college for over a decade. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Spring Hill College and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Regis University. Her career began as a major gifts officer at Spring Hill College. She then found her way into college counseling after taking students on college tours around the country for seven years. Mrs. Caruso joined Mount Carmel’s counseling department as the College Scholarship Coordinator in 2017. She is currently the State and Area Initiatives Chair for Louisiana for SACAC and is also active on the Counselor Advisory Board for Loyola University in New Orleans.

The SACAC Leads program is designed to develop informed, committed, and qualified leaders for the organization and the broader profession. SACAC Leads prepares and motivates participants to provide intentional, dynamic leadership within the member states.
