MCA's Christian Life Community club (CLC) wanted to give back to schools that were severely affected by Hurricane Ida.  CLC President Julia Belou contacted Mrs. Tricia Thibodaux, the principal at Holy Savior Catholic School in Houma, to inquire how Mount Carmel could help with desperately-needed school supplies. CLC members and 8th grade CLC members brought in school supplies such as binders, folders, paper, crayons, pencils, tissue boxes, and first aid supplies. Over the course of a month, both CLC clubs filled over 10 boxes and bags with supplies to give to students and teachers who lost everything in the hurricane. Ms. Cenac and CLC Vice-President Shelby Blalock filled a trunk full of school supplies to bring to Holy Savior School that is currently stationed at St. Hilary of Poitiers in Raceland, LA for the rest of the school year as they wait for their school to be repaired. Donating is such a big part of CLC every year and the club was thrilled to be able to give back to the community.
