Each year, the Tulane Center for Youth Equity invites young artists from the New Orleans area to submit original artwork to their youth art contest and exhibition. Winners in each category received a financial prize, and all entrants will have their artwork displayed in the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. This year's theme, "culture," encouraged artists to explore what culture means to them, how they identify with their culture, and how it supports them. Artists had the freedom to interpret the concept of "culture" in any way that resonated with them, whether through artistic expression or cultural traditions.
