Every June, Mount Carmel's International Thespian Society students attend the International Thespian Festival. This year the festival was virtual due to Covid-19. Mount Carmel students were still able to share their one-act performance, Back Cover, directed by senior Jessie Duplantis, at the virtual festival. (They used a recording that WMCA took of the performance in January.)

Senior Lauren Betzer was selected to be in the Thespian Virtual Choir. She was one of 90 thespians from across the world that performed alongside Broadway stars in this virtual choir performance of "This Is Me" from The Greatest Showman. (Watch the performance.)

Students were still able to compete in individual events by uploading recordings of their performances. Our individual events (Thespys) were also still able to participate by uploading recordings of their performances:

Three of juniors auditioned virtually for colleges and received close to 75 callbacks between them. Some received acceptance on the spot!
