Girls in 5th - 7th grade girls are invited to "spend the day" and experience a real day of school at MCA. Please register online or call 504.288.7630 to set up your "spend the day."
Application cards will be made available to Catholic elementary schools, Catholic high schools, and online. Catholic elementary schools will give their students the application cards. Students from a non-Catholic school may download one from our website or pick one up from the front office.
Students from Catholic Elementary Schools
High School application cards must be turned into Catholic elementary schools by November 15, 2019.
Students from Non-Catholic Elementary Schools
Applicants from non-Catholic schools, please send the following information to Mount Carmel Academy by Tuesday, November 19, 2019:
- Application Card
- Transcripts (from 5th grade forward)
- Standardized Test results (from 5th grade forward)
- Report Card for first quarter of present year
January 11, 2020 at 8 a.m.
Prospective students must attend Application Day at Mount Carmel Academy's Mother Therese Chevrel Assembly Center on Louisville Street.
The HSPT is a nationally-recognized private school entrance examination taken by students as part of the private school application process. The exam covers: Verbal Skills, Quantitative Skills, Reading Comprehension, Mathematics and Language. The exam typically takes 3 hours to complete with breaks.
Applicants should bring their $30 Application Fee and two (2) sharpened No. 2 pencils with erasers. Do not bring calculators.
Casual attire is appropriate.
Parents are invited to return at 11:30 a.m. for a short prayer service and refreshments.
Students who are interested in transferring to Mount Carmel Academy for the tenth and eleventh grades should contact the Admissions office to begin the process of reviewing records and setting up an interview. Please email or call the Admissions office to speak with the Admissions Director.
