Enjoy 60 seconds of Bohemian Rhapsody performed by Chorale, Encore, and Beginning Choir.
Chorale is a select competition choir of students from grades 9-12. Chorale performs at MCA concerts, music festivals, various community events, District and State LMEA competitions, and individual members have the opportunity to audition for District and State Honor Choirs. Membership is by audition only.
Encore is a Pop/Broadway style choir that is open to all students at Mount Carmel. In addition to the MCA concerts, Encore is invited to sing at special events such as Celebration in the Oaks and other community events.
Celebration is the liturgical music group open to any student or faculty member of Mount Carmel as a singer or instrumentalist. Celebration provides music at school-sponsored liturgies and assemblies and auditions are held for opportunities to serve as cantors and soloists.
The hand bell ensemble is open to all students through an audition process. The performances include, but are limited to, Mass and the semi-annual choir concerts. The repertoire is mainly sacred music appropriate.
Music courses are designed to educate on the study and execution of musical performance while fostering a life-long love of music.
Tri-M is the National Music Honor Society. This organization is open to any student that has demonstrated musical ability, academic excellence, and character. Students may be inducted at the end of their freshmen year. Tri-M students may participate in school events by sharing their vocal or instrumental talents.
