Art II is designed to build upon the skills students learned in Art I.  This course introduces students to illustration, perspective, and portraiture with a wide array of new media including pen and ink, gouache, and oil paint.

Art III and IV are designed to continue an in-depth study of visual art. Students apply their knowledge of the elements of art and the principles of design and are expected to be creative risk takers and to engage in forms of higher level thinking in the development of their artwork.

Fine Arts Survey is an overview of the arts that includes visual art, music, theater and dance from the prehistoric period until the present. The objective of the Fine Arts Survey course is to give students an introduction to understanding the four arts, how they are related, and how they each touch our lives. These are some samples of work produced during the Visual Art unit.

This digital art course is designed to introduce students to multimedia creation. Using various programs from the Adobe Creative Suite, students explore different methods of expressing themselves by creating original works of digital art. Elements of art and principles of design are examined and inform the process of creation in order to develop compelling works.

This course is a follow up to Media Arts I where will dive deeper into the world of digital media art and continue to develop creative problem solving skills. Illustration, graphic design and visual storytelling are some themes covered.

This course examines a variety of techniques for improving one's photography skills. Students learn how to operate a digital camera, identifying its features and uses in various situations. Fundamental elements of photography, including composition, exposure, and depth of field, are explored through lab activities and projects. Techniques in framing and lighting are presented. Image editing and correcting flaws are examined through Photoshop.
