State Championship

The Cubs with Spikes finished there season at the LHSAA Div 1 State championship as State Runner ups placing 2nd overall!!! Running for the Cubs was Catalina Reichard, Lucy Quintana, Stella Junius, Sofia Meneses, Caroline Zimmermann, Anna Joubert, and Julia Zimmermann. Placing in the Top 10 was Catalina Reichard (1st) and Stella Junius (10th). Paw Yeah!!!

District & Metro Championships

The Varsity Team finished 1st overall with a low score of 16 Pts. Scoring for the Cubs was Catalina Reichard, Lucy Quintana, Sofia Meneses, Stella Junius, and Anna Joubert.

Jack Schommer Invitational

The Cubs finished 3rd overall in the Varsity Race. Scoring for the Cubs was Marlie Belsome, Adeleine Berner, Sabrina Chittenden, Sydney Salles, and Veronica Dupuy. Finishing 2nd overall as a individual in the Crusader Harrier Invitational was Alexandra Roche'.

Randy Zell Classic and Newman JH

Cubs with spikes were back in City Park running the Newman Randy Zell Classic and JH invitationals. The Varsity Team finished 3rd overall and and the JV and JH did not have a complete scoring team. The Varsity team was lead by Adeleine Berner ('24), Marlie Belsome ('27), Sabrina Chittenden ('26), Sydney Salles ('26), and Stella Junius ('26). Top 10 finishers this weekend were Adeleine Berner ('24), Adelaide Friel ('26), Kailyn Madden ('26), and Alex Roche' ('28).

Divide and Conquer

Cubs spikes split up this weekend. The team traveled to Oakville AL to compete in the Jesse Owens Classic and some stayed and ran in the Carver Invitational at City Park. Leading the Team to a 17th place out of thirty teams at the Jesse Owens Classic was Catalina Reichard ('25), Lucy Quintana ('26), Sofia Meneses ('26), Anna Joubert ('27) and Julia Zimmermann ('26). At the carver Invitational the Varsity and JV teams both placed first with two individual first place finishes. Varsity First Place Stella Junius ('26), and JV first place Ava Rabito ('27).

St. Joe's Invite

Cubs with spikes traveled to Baton Rouge for the second time this season and competed in the SJA Invitational. The Team Placed 2nd overall. Scoring for the Varsity was Catalina Reichard ('25), Lucy Quintana ('26), Sofia Meneses ('26), Anna Joubert ('27), and Caroline Zimmermann ('27).

Cubs with spikes raced at there home invitational and the Junior High Competed in the Christian Brothers Falcon Invitational in City Park this past weekend. The Varsity Team finished 1st, JV finished 2nd, and the Junior High Finished 9th overall. Season Openers

Cubs with Spikes split up this week and ran Friday evening at the UNO High School Opener and Saturday morning in Mobile AL at the Mobile Challenge of Champions. Cubs took home FIRST PLACE at both meets! Top Finishers at UNO was Stella Junius ('26), Caroline Zimmermann ('27), Anna Joubert('27), and Marlie Belsome('27). Top Finishers in Mobile were Catalina Reichard ('25) and Lucy Quintana ('26). PAW YEAH!!

St. Joe's and Cajun Classic

Cubs on the run counter on both fronts Baton Rouge and City Park. The 8th Grade and JV raced at the Cajun Classic in City Park while the Varsity and JV took there speed to Highland. The Varsity placed 3rd overall being lead by Catalina Reichard with a impressive time of 17:43 for a 2nd place finish individually. The Junior Varsity placed 2nd overall as a team! Paw Yeah!!

Cub Run

Cubs on the run returned to City Park this weekend for their home meet. The Varsity and Junior Varsity both took home 1st place honors in the team rankings! The Junior High competed in there second meet of the season and placed 4th overall.

Dominican/Holy Cross Invite

Cubs on the run were back in City Park racing in the Holy Cross/Dominican Invitational. The Varsity placed 1st overall as a team while the Junior Varsity placed 2nd overall. The Junior High team ran in their first race of the season and placed 2nd overall.

Episcopal Round Table Run

Cubs on the run traveled to Baton Rouge this weekend to run in the 44th annual Episcopal Round Table Run this last Saturday. The Varsity team placed 5th overall. Scoring for the Cubs was Stella Junius (Fr.), Isabella Nicoll (Soph.), Emma Meneses (Sr.), Anne Zimmermann (Sr.), and Emily Eastwold (Jr.) Congrats to Stella Junius for placing 5th overall in the Varsity Race.

CUBS AT STATE

The Cross Country team finished up their season at the 5A State Championship on Tuesday Nov. 16th. The Team finished with a 4th place overall. Competing for the Cubs was Stella Junius ('26), Sammi Rogers ('23), Elizabeth Traylor ('22), Adeleine Berner ('24), Emma Meneses ('23), Riley Imbornone ('23), and Katie Kliebert ('23). CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON HAS COMMENCED

The starting gun on Thursday at the District 9-5A meet kicked off Championship Season for the Cubs. On Thursday the Varsity team ran in the District 9-5A Championship race placing 2nd Overall. Leading the Cubs was Stella Junius ('26), Sammi Rogers ('23), Emma Meneses ('23), Adeleine Berner ('24), and Elizabeth Traylor ('22). Following up on Saturday the Cubs ran in the JV District Championship meet placing 2nd Overall. Leading the Cubs was Riley Imbornone ('23), Claire Remy ('24), Leigh Morantez ('25), Anne Zimmermann ('23), and Seren Rodriguez ('25). Congrats to Lucy Quintana ('26) for finishing out her Junior High Season with a WIN!!

Cubs with spikes closed out their regular season at the Jack Schommer Invitational. The Varsity Team placed 2nd overall. Scoring for the Varsity was Stella Junius ('26), Katie Kliebert ('23), Teresa Cashen ('23), Riley Imbornone ('23), and Claire Remy ('24). Lucy Quintana ('26) took the individual win in the Junior Varsity 2 Mile and Stella Junius won the Varsity 3 Mile.

Cubs with spikes raced at the Randy Zell Classic in City Park this weekend. With the first cool front of the season pushing through we saw a lot of PR'S. The Varsity Team placed 2nd overall while the JV Team placed 1st overall. CUBS FIGHT THROUGH MUD IN BATON ROUGE

Cubs got there spikes muddy the last two weekends in Baton Rouge. Competing both at the St. Joe's Invite and the Catholic High Invite. Shining in the mud were two 8th Graders Lucy Quintana ('26) and Stella Junius ('26). Lucy got her first individual win at St. Joe's and placed 2nd at Catholic. Stella took home her third individual title of the season at the Catholic High Invite.

THE HORN GOES OFF AT THE CUB RUN

The horn goes off at the Mount Carmel Cub Run Saturday Sept. 25th. The Varsity Team Placed 4th overall while the Junior Varsity Team Finished Runner Up in the JV Race. Scoring for the Varsity was Elizabeth Traylor ('22), Sammi Rogers ('23), Adeleine Berner ('24), Katie Kliebert ('23), and Emma Meneses ('23). Leading the JV Team scoring in the Top 10 was . CUBS WITH SPIKES KICKOFF THE 2021 SEASON AT HOLY CROSS DOMINICAN INVITATIONAL

The cubs with Spikes began their season in City Park this Saturday Sept. 18th. The Varsity Team Placed 3rd overall while the JV Placed 2nd overall. The varsity Team was lead by Elizabeth Traylor ('22) and Sammi Rogers ('23) who both finished with a top 10 finish. The JV Team was lead by Stella Junius ('26) and Lucy Quintana ('26) who both finished with a top 10 finish. Big Congrats to Stella Junius ('26) who take the individual title in the JV 2 Mile Race!

2017-2018 Season

State Championship Meet

On Tuesday 11/14 the Cubs competed in the Class 5A State Championship. The Cubs finished 4th overall as a team. Leading the Cubs with a Top 10 finish was Hope Shales ('20) finishing in 8th place overall. Also leading the Cubs was Sadie Burst ('21), Annelise Meyaski ('21), Victoria Tufts ('20), Ashleigh Gallagher ('20), Lauren Labbe ('18), and Maria Pinero('18). Maria Pinero ('18) was also celebrated for making the All State All Academic Team. Congratulations to all for a successful Season!

Championship Week

On a beautiful Wednesday afternoon the Cubs competed in the 9-5A District Championship. With great weather conditions the Cubs came out victorious by 1pt 32(MCA)-33(DHS). Helping lead the charge was Annelise Meyaski ('21), Sadie Burst ('21), Hope Shales ('20), Victoria Tufts ('20),Lauren Labbe ('18), Ashleigh Gallagher ('20), and Maria Pinero ('18). Three Days later the JV and JH competed in the JV/JH New Orleans Metro Championships. Both teams battling cold and windy conditions the JH placed 4th and the JV placing 1st overall with a close finish coming down to the 6th runner. Leading the JH Elle Broussard ('22), Elise Vicknaire ('21), and Madilyn Sanderson ('21). Leading the JV to victory was Kristin Guillera ('20), Katie Huval ('20), Grace Elvir ('20), Margeaux Manshell ('20), Hayley Sumich ('20), and Theresa Falgoust ('20).

Senior Race

The Cubs competed in the Jack Schommer Invitational this weekend. With this being the last race before the District Championship the Cubs celebrated there Seniors on there last race. The names of the seniors are: Maria Pinero ('18), Samantha Comberell ('18), Emily Coogler ('18), Gabrielle Dupre ('18), Lauren Labbe' ('18), Scarlett O'brien ('18), Caroline Schluter ('18), and Virginia Theriot ('18). The Varsity team placed 4th, and the Junior High placed 2nd. Varsity was lead by Grace Elvir ('20) and Theresa Falgoust ('20). Junior High was lead by Elle Broussard ('22), Madilyn Sanderson ('21), and Elise Vicknaire ('21).

Cubs on the Run

On October 14th the Cubs Crossed over the state line to take there talents over to Mississippi. The Cubs competed in the Choctaw Invitational, held at Choctaw Trails in Clinton Mississippi. The team placed 3rd overall and was lead by Hope Shales ('20), Annelise Meyaski ('21), Victoria Tufts ('20) and Ashleigh Gallagher ('20).

Hurricane Nate Can't Hold Back the Cubs

The Cubs head back to Baton Rouge to compete in the Catholic high Invitational. With Hurricane Nate in the Gulf the Cubs ran through wind and rain. Even with not ideal weather conditions the Cubs stayed strong. Varsity was lead by Hope Shales ('20) breaking into the top 10 and Annelise Meyaski ('21). Junior Varsity and Junior High were lead by Sadie Burst ('21), Madilyn Sanderson ('21), and Nashia Landry ('22).

Dry Air Brings Fast Times in BR

With the lack of humidity and slightly cooler temperature the Cubs made there way to Baton Rouge for the St. Joe's Invitational. PR's were set on the fast and competitive course known as High Lank Park. Great effort by all,and a special congratulations goes to 8th grader Elle Broussard for placing in the top 20 in the Competitive JH race.

2017 Season Thus Far

With three meets under the Cubs belt we have seen improvement each week. Starting with a hot and humid week one the Cubs ran in the Cabrini Relay's. Varsity taking 3rd place overall, and the JV/JH teams taking home 1st. After a hot and humid first race the Cubs were blessed with cooler and dryer temps the following meet at the Cub Run. The Varsity and JV came back strong with a 1st place finish, and the JH team coming in Second. The Cubs weren't so lucky with the weather the following weekend competing across the Big Pond at the Christian Brothers Invitational. With a overall team improvement The Varsity placed 4th overall, and the JV/JH keeping there top 2 streak alive by placing 2nd overall.
