Co-Op Club Committees

CCSCC Representative
One or two Council of Catholic School Co-operative Clubs reps are needed for a school year-long commitment. The purpose of this club is to unite with other Catholic schools to pool resources in the interest and cause of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. There are five general meetings held in September, October, January, March, and May.

Father/Daughter Banquet | December 
Volunteers needed to assist with planning this fun evening for dads & daughters.

St. Joseph Altar | March 
Volunteers needed to prepare and decorate the altar.

Candy/Candle Drive
Assistance is needed to count money and sort orders on a weekly basis.

Raffle Tickets
Assistance is needed to count money and sort tickets on a weekly basis.

Teacher Substitute
Substitutes are needed year-round.


COME LORD JESUS LEADER

Come Lord Jesus is a small group session where students gather to pray, read the relevant Sunday Gospel, reflect on the Word of God and discern how this message can best be applied in their everyday lives. Volunteers are needed to lead forty-minute sessions held on various Wednesdays between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There are a total of eight to nine Come Lord Jesus sessions

(four or five sessions per semester).


ADVANCEMENT OFFICE

Volunteer your time and skills in MCA’s Advancement Office by helping with mass mailings and phone calls during Parent GAP Phone Outreach and the Alumnae Phone-a-Thon.


BREAKFAST WITH ST. NICK 

Kick-off the Christmas season with your family and friends at this festive event. Volunteers are needed to ensure that hundreds of attendees enjoy a hot breakfast, a visit with Santa Claus, and kid-friendly games.


CAREER DAY

Each spring, Mount Carmel invites alumnae, parents and friends to share their career experiences with the students. Speakers from a variety of professions are needed to make this event a success for our students.


SPRING FLING (GALA) 

Mount Carmel’s annual fundraiser featuring food and spirits from local restaurants, live music, and live and silent auctions. Volunteers are needed for the Spring Fling planning committee and to assist with the auction and auction donation solicitation.


SUSIE ANDERSON ANGERON GOLF CLASSIC

Every fall, Mount Carmel Academy hosts the annual Golf Classic at Bayou Oaks at City Park South.  Corporate, team, and individual registrations are available.
