Co-Op Club Committees
Volunteers needed to serve lunch and organize food donations for the faculty.
One or two Council of Catholic School Co-operative Clubs reps are needed for a school year-long commitment. The purpose of this club is to unite with other Catholic schools to pool resources in the interest and cause of Catholic education in the Archdiocese of New Orleans. There are five general meetings held in September, October, January, March, and May.
Picture/Fee Day | August
Volunteers are needed to help parents and students navigate through Fee/Picture Day. Additional assistance is needed to run credit cards and bag purchases. At the conclusion of the event, help is needed to box up merchandise and bring back to the Cub Shoppe.
Big Sis/Lil Sis Luncheon (8th & 11th Grade) | September
A treasured MCA tradition is a luncheon held at the beginning of the school year for Juniors & their 8th grade Little Sisters. The bond between Big & Little Sisters is precious as traditions, class mascots and memories are shared. Volunteers are needed to assist with setup and serving lunch.

COME LORD JESUS LEADER
Come Lord Jesus is a small group session where students gather to pray, read the relevant Sunday Gospel, reflect on the Word of God and discern how this message can best be applied in their everyday lives. Volunteers are needed to lead forty-minute sessions held on various Wednesdays between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There are a total of eight to nine Come Lord Jesus sessions
(four or five sessions per semester).
Volunteer your time and skills in MCA’s Advancement Office by helping with mass mailings and phone calls during Parent GAP Phone Outreach and the Alumnae Phone-a-Thon.
Round up your tennis buddies and join us for some friendly competition with alumnae, parents, and friends of Mount Carmel Academy. Even if you don’t play tennis, we can still use your help to make this event a great success!
BREAKFAST WITH ST. NICK
Kick-off the Christmas season with your family and friends at this festive event. Volunteers are needed to ensure that hundreds of attendees enjoy a hot breakfast, a visit with Santa Claus, and kid-friendly games.
Each spring, Mount Carmel invites alumnae, parents and friends to share their career experiences with the students. Speakers from a variety of professions are needed to make this event a success for our students.
SPRING FLING (GALA)
Mount Carmel’s annual fundraiser featuring food and spirits from local restaurants, live music, and live and silent auctions. Volunteers are needed for the Spring Fling planning committee and to assist with the auction and auction donation solicitation.
Each spring, Mount Carmel welcomes the Easter season with this colorful, family-friendly event. Volunteers are needed to help the children enjoy a variety of games and activities, craft projects, visits with the Easter bunny, a hot breakfast, and the much-anticipated Easter egg hunt.
Alumnae from all class years gather together for lunch, raffles, and to reminisce on their days at MCA. Volunteers are needed to assist with planning and to assist with raffle donation solicitation.

Every fall, Mount Carmel Academy hosts the annual Golf Classic at Bayou Oaks at City Park South. After the tournament, golfers and non-golfers alike are invited to the 19th Hole Steak and Wine Dinner, a fun post-tournament celebration! Corporate, team, and individual registrations are available.
