Campers discovered their magical abilities at "A Week in the World of Harry Potter." They sorted into Mount Carmel's won houses, Embredor and Firesong. They competed for house points based on their creativity and enthusiasm. Campers enjoyed activities such as making dragon snot, concocting potions, predicting futures, and creating magical creatures. They earned additional points by playing games such as "Stump the Professor," an activity where campers would ask the "professors" difficult questions about Harry Potter. "Defense Against the Dark Arts" was a camper favorite. Using their wands, they practiced dueling and learned how to defend themselves against other wizards. From wand-making to dueling competitions to magical classes, the campers left well-trained for the wizarding world.
