Brother Martin High School hosted a Mu Alpha Theta High School Tournament on February 3. Cassidy Chappuis and Thalia Koutsougeras won first place in the Comp. Math 1.5 Team Test. They also received honorable mention in the Algebra II Individual Test. Caroline Crisp was awarded an honorable mention in the Calculus AB Individual Test. MCA's Algebra II and Algebra I teams won second place in the Lower Grade Level Interschool Test. Congratulations, Mu Alpha Theta!
Mu Alpha Theta is a national high school math honor society. Mu Alpha Theta strives to stimulate interest in mathematics, serve the school by offering tutoring to students, and compete at the city, district, and state levels. Students must apply for membership each year, maintain a quarterly GPA, receive a "B" or higher in math courses, attend meetings, and participate in the club's activities.
